Thank you. Very helpful article!

One of the reasons so many are unresponsive is that they have not had the Word of God seeded into their hearts. Every farmer knows if the seed stays in the barn there will be no harvest. He could awake every morning and pray for God to bless the coming harvest. He could walk his fields rebuking the destroyer, the pests and bad weather, all the while boldly claiming a bountiful harvest. But there will not be a harvest, unless he plants the seed into the soil.

In the Kingdom of God, the seed is the Word of Christ. We are the farmer. Our neighborhood, town and surrounding area is our field. It is us who must plant that seed in the minds and hearts of our neighbors or there will not be a coming harvest.

The following three "seed planting" methods are very practical, affordable and doable.

Good News Postcard Evangelism!
You have within your means the resources to reach every home in your area with the good news of Jesus Christ. This website will show you how you can reach the 5000 homes near you through gospel postcard evangelism. It will walk you through the steps of how to seed, water and harvest in God's Kingdom by mailing the Word of God out into your community.

Doorknob Evangelism
Do you know that you have within your means all the resources to reach every home in your local area that you can physically walk out too with the "good news" Gospel of Jesus Christ. This website will walk you through the steps on why and how you can do it!
https://www.doorknobevangelism.org/

Jesus Groups
You can start up a Jesus Group in your home, office, business, dorm or work place and experience the joy of fellowship with Him and His people while helping fulfill His Great Commission.

The evangecube is a great visual tool to use. We use it door to door. Here is the approach.

First, take a few people with you. It is best to have at least one female there to talk with females at the door. It is also helpful to have children there as well. When they see women and children approaching they are more likely to let down their guard.

Second, make sure not to crowd the door. One person rings the door bell or knocks and then steps back far enough that the person will feel comfortable stepping out. The other people are further out.

Third, give a brief intro and offer to pray for them. Here is how we do it, "Hey, my name is ____. This is _____. We are from ______ church. We were just wondering if there is anything we can pray for you today?" (Smile while you are talking and don't act rushed)

Fourth, pray a genuine heartfelt prayer for them in Jesus' name, about whatever they mention. Pray for their health, family, peace, etc. (Most people will be receptive and thankful.)

Fifth, simply ask, "Have you ever seen the evangecube?" (I have never had someone say yes) When they respond ask, "can I show it to you?" (Most people are happy to listen after you have prayed a genuine heartfelt prayer for them)

Sixth, walk through the presentation. The presentation can be found online. You can adapt and fill in as you see fit. (Practice it and know it well before you go out) I usually do a short presentation and ask if they understand. Then we talk further as needed.

I have used this approach in Brazil, Cuba and the US. The key is to be warm and friendly, pray a genuine prayer for them and share the gospel clearly. God will use it!

"Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men.", King Jesus in Matthew 4:19 KJV.

"...learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart ...", King Jesus in Matthew 11:29 KJV.

"...Take no thought how or what ye shall speak, for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.", King Jesus in Matthew 10:19-20 KJV

So, trust in The Holy Spirit to give you the words, methods, techniques, demeanour etc to match the requirements of the person you approach with the humility & love of King Jesus in you. Remember, we are just the vessel being used to enable that connection to happen between God and that specific individual. Ultimately, it's their choice (free will).
